The Signs of Social Anxiety
Social anxiety can come to you just like that. It's a situation where you suddenly fear the people around you. Your hands will shiver, you will sweat more and your whole body would be shaking as if though there was an earthquake. It is very difficult to point out the exact reasons for a social anxiety but in my opinion, a person's childhood, recent events, or even such issues as post traumatic stress disorder can have everything to do with it. I am pretty sure that you heard of the phrase, "your childhood made you the person you are today." This can be very true. If you had a happy childhood, it is most likely that you would have a happy life in the future but on the other hand, if you had a daunting childhood, your life can be dark.
As a child, if you feared talking to friends and avoided making new friends, this fear will come along with you as you grow older and older. If you were a shy, not so social kind of child, you wouldn't enjoy talking to people as well when you grow up. These factors can lead to social anxiety. Since you are not used to talking to people when you were a child, being in a situation where you are crowded with strangers can cause your body to go through a social anxiety. It's just like trying to run a marathon when you never ran in your life before. If you used to run every day since you were a child, you will not have any problems running in the marathon. However, on the other hand, if you never ran in your life before and you try to run in the marathon, you will just run out of breathe in a matter of minutes!
Having a healthy childhood is very quintessential in avoiding social anxiety. Don't be shy to talk to the people around you because they won't bite. The worst thing they can do is ignore you. Trust me. Being ignored is way better than having a social anxiety. Be more talkative!
